MM7055

The MM7055 5-Channel Power Amplifier from Marantz is designed to deliver powerful multi-channel sound. This amplifier features a discrete amplification design for robust sonic delivery. Each channel in the amplifier delivers up to 140W of power at 8 ohms and 170W at 6 ohms.

 It is also equipped with balanced and unbalanced input options, allowing you to connect a wide variety of pre-amplifiers and processors. This amplifier is capable of efficiently driving stereo and 5-channel home entertainment systems.

Current Feedback Discrete Power Amplifier

The Marantz MM7055 includes a current feedback amplifier section that uses the same push-pull circuit from the Marantz SM-11S1 Hi-Fi power amp. This design improves stability and increases speed. It also delivers wide-range playback with greater detail. In addition, the current/voltage conversion stage uses a Wilson current mirror circuit. As a result, the amplifier achieves extended high-frequency response with very low distortion.

Large Power Transformer – Marantz MM7055 - 5 Channel

The final stage of the MM7055 uses LAPT high-efficiency power transistors, also found in the SM-11S1. These parts give instant power when needed and keep sound accurate. Moreover, the power section has a large transformer for steady performance. In addition, Marantz adds a 33,000 μF / 71 V×2 block condenser. As a result, the amplifier delivers stronger power and produces bold, clear sound.

High-Quality Cooling Design

The MM7055 uses a chimney-shaped heat sink that directs heat away from each channel. In addition, quiet cooling fans keep the system stable without noise. 

A high-sensitivity temperature sensor controls the fans, adjusting their speed automatically based on the heat level.

Each channel includes both balanced and unbalanced inputs. Therefore, you can install the amplifier easily with different pre-amps and processors.

Remote Power Control

When connected to a Marantz AV pre-amplifier such as the AV8003 or AV7005, the MM7055 powers on and off together with it. This setup reduces noise and keeps performance clean.
