The front of the RS151 is dominated by a 15.4-inch Full HD touch display, allowing intuitive control while also displaying album art, VU meters, video playback, and system settings in a visually immersive way. The device runs on Rose OS, a sophisticated operating system that supports services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music (through its app), Spotify Connect, internet radio, and full Roon Ready integration. Music can be played from network servers, USB drives, internal SSD storage, or cloud services. The RS151 supports high-resolution PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz, native DSD512, and full MQA decoding, ensuring compatibility with all modern formats.

he HiFi Rose RS151 Gen2 is a high-performance network streamer and DAC that features a linear toroidal power supply for clean, stable electricity and minimal noise. Its digital conversion is handled by the ESS ES9039PRO DAC, paired with a highly precise femto clock using the ROSE DPC™ system to reduce jitter and enhance signal accuracy. The streamer is powered by an 8-core RK3588 processor with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and has 32 GB of internal eMMC storage for system operations, while supporting external storage options such as 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, USB drives, and Micro-SD cards for music libraries. The front panel houses a 15.4-inch Full HD capacitive touch display, providing intuitive control and visual feedback for music, streaming services, and video playback.

The RS151 supports PCM audio up to 32-bit / 768 kHz and native DSD up to DSD512, along with a wide range of file formats including WAV, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, WMA, OGG, APE, DFF, DSF, CDA, M4A, MP3, and AAC. It can also handle video formats such as AVI, MKV, MP4, WMV, MPEG-1/2/4, H.264, H.265, VC-1, and VP8/9 up to 4K resolution. Digital inputs include USB 2.0 Type-B, coaxial, optical, AES/EBU, and HDMI eARC, while digital outputs are available via USB 3.0 Type-A, coaxial, optical, AES/EBU, and I²S over HDMI. Analog outputs include both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, with one RCA line-in. The streamer connects to networks via Gigabit Ethernet and can support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4 through USB dongles. Streaming protocols include Roon Ready, AirPlay, DLNA/UPnP, Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, RoseTube, and internet radio.

The RS151 delivers an output level of approximately 9 V RMS on XLR and 4.5 V RMS on RCA, with a low output impedance of around 2.84 ohms. It achieves a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of 0.0002% on XLR and 0.0003% on RCA, a signal-to-noise ratio of roughly 131 dB on XLR and 124 dB on RCA, a dynamic range of up to 150 dB with CCITT filtering, and a frequency response from 20 Hz to 75 kHz within ±0.5 dB. Power consumption is low, around 0.3 W in standby, 5 W idle, and up to 55 W during playback, and it operates on 110–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. Control can be performed via a 38 kHz infrared remote, and the unit also supports CD ripping through an external USB CD drive. The RS151’s aluminum chassis measures approximately 430 mm by 319 mm by 125 mm and weighs around 11 kilograms, combining robust construction with premium aesthetics.
